New song The Thief by US based New Zealander Miriam Clancy is a beautiful and haunting track released in support of Coalition For The Homeless.
Written and recorded in isolation in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, The Thief is a time capsule, a message in a bottle drifting over empty streets in the time of pandemic. Within are the hidden dwellers and frontline workers whose hands have become a lifeline - medicating, intubating, comforting, holding up phones connecting the ailing and their grieving beloved. They stand, bearing the light - they become the candle and turn up daily to do it all over again.
Recorded by Miriam Clancy
Mixed in Dublin, Ireland by Ger MacDonnell (The Cure, U2)
Mastered in New Jersey by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound
Cover art by New Yorker illustrator Drew Dernavich.
The video -

All profits go to New York charitable advocacy and direct service organization the Coalition for the Homeless.
